Business Description Only a few European countries have implemented a fully operational national primary care ePrescription service. But the majority of Member States reported it as an element of their national eHealth strategy and/or implementation plan already for 2006, a number which has increased to 22 by 2010. At the national level, a full ePrescription process is used routinely only in Denmark, England, Estonia, Iceland, Scotland and Sweden. The Netherlands have established routine use of ePrescription in some regions, at different levels of penetration depending on the GP or hospital environment. Likewise, the region of Andalucia in Spain is an example of an implemented, fully functional ePrescription service. However, this is not necessarily applicable to all other Spanish regions. Examples of pilots on ePrescription that are intended for eventual regional or national implementation can be found in Norway, the Czech Republic, Finland, Italy and Poland. At a national level, only in Denmark do patients have access to their medication profiles and are able to re-order certain repeat medications themselves, e.g. via a web service. There are also countries which have by now implemented a form of electronic dispensation service which uses bar coded, paper based prescriptions for transferring the information to the pharmacy. France is an example of an ePrescription project which currently is not fully integrated with the national EHR, but provides a widely used electronic record of dispensed medications, under the control of the national order of pharmacists. An online network covering physician-patient- pharmacy relations, collecting statistics of diseases, patients, written and bought medicines from different perspectives (season, region, age group, gender etc.) and releasing it to interested sides (people, physicians, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, Ministry of Health) is being created. The main objective of the project: - achieving a paperless medication prescription system in the country - unique registration of medical facilities, pharmacies, physicians, patients - providing a person with perfect information about his/her diagnosis, names/ quantity/ date of written and taken medicines, names of physicians who wrote the prescription and name of the pharmacy from the date of his/her registration up to now, sending a prescription via SMS or e-mail - informing each physician about his/her activity (their prescriptions/ medicines bought under prescriptions or substitutes for prescription/ names and phone numbers of patients etc.) - providing relevant information to pharmaceutical companies (activities of physicians and pharmacies, seasonal diseases, sales by region, etc.) and pharmacies - opening up an opportunity for the daily use of this system at pharmacies (sales, medicine returns, direct order of medicines from depot) - timely and effective introduction of new medicines for patients and physicians (via SMS or sending information to profile) - promptly informing patients and physician whether a medicine is compatible with other medicines and diseases or not - offering online ordering (internet or mobile application) or order via SMS under the prescriptions (including delivery) - providing warehouse regulation of medicines at pharmacies, including control over out-of-date medicines - booking an appointment with a physician through the service (internet / mobile app / SMS) - implementing most of the aforementioned functions through mobile phone and POS terminals

Auxiliary functions of the project - Online chat - Online appointment and consultation with physicians - Online order of medicines or order via SMS (including delivery and order from the nearest pharmacy) - Consulting with physicians - Conducting surveys on physicians, medicines, medical facilities, pharmacies and giving ratings - Forum - Private room and e-mail - Reminding patients when to take medicines and the correct doses - Charity opportunities (supplying medicines to low-income patients and examining them for free)

Description of the process Participants of the process: You should firstly register in the system to join the system. Each side will have a unique code and this code is generated by the system according to various indicators. All sides must register in advance except citizens. Citizens are registered themselves and by physicians during the first application. When applying to a physician, a patient is asked whether s/he is registered or not. The physician enters his/her profile, diagnoses and writes a prescription. The process starts by creating a new profile for the patient if there is no registration. The physician can use previous prescriptions and medicines while diagnosing a patient and writing prescriptions (selected menu). When writing a prescription, physician can also use medicine reminders and support function. Then, the system includes written prescription into database under a unique code. The patient goes to pharmacy with this code and buys these medicines. If you forgot the number of your prescription, you can see it in your app or send this unique code to short number (e.g. to 7777) via SMS (those who do not use smartphones, Android, IOS and etc) and get the codes of all your active prescriptions and their dates. Sending the code of the prescription to the short number you can get all the prescription as SMS. These services are paid. A pharmacy enters the code into the system and reviews the prescription. Medicines can be sold in whole or in part, or rejected if there is no at the pharmacy. Any act is reflected in the activity of the pharmacy. Thus, the pharmacy orders medicines or regulates its warehouse on this basis. Pharmaceutical companies can see operations of any physician and pharmacy regarding their medicines at any time. It helps them to effectively manage their work.
